Yes. Controlled valves work together with the dispensing unit or the machine control, and triggering is taken over by an operating element or a robot.
It controls two variables: the pressure on the medium and the time the path is opened. Everything else is physics in the set-up. That makes it simple, robust and adjustable at the bench without anyone having to program.
The medium with its viscosity and whether it is reactive or filled. On top of that the amount per dot or the bead dimensions, the required tolerance and the number of shots per shift.
The amount dispensed is a consequence of pressure and time, not their result. If the medium warms up, viscosity drops and the amount rises. If the fill level drops, the resistance changes. Where that breaks the tolerance, volumetric dispensing is the answer, not more pressure.
