The fluid connection is the interface between container and dispensing system. It carries the material from cartridge, tank or reservoir into the line and at the same time takes the compressed air that moves it. Selection follows container type, fitting and working pressure.

The container type and operating pressure are decisive. Cartridges, containers and bulk containers have different connection geometries. The media connection must also be rated for the intended operating pressure.
For reactive media, the media connection must be designed so that it can be opened and cleaned within the available processing time. In existing systems, the connections on both the container side and the system side must also be taken into account.
At the connection, compressed air and dispensing medium are separated only by the sealing interface. If air enters the medium, air inclusions can form and cause variations in the dispensed quantity. If medium enters the air line, material can travel back towards the dispensing unit.
