Sigrist & Partner AG in Matzingen and shows why demanding dispensing processes involve much more than the dispensing device itself.
Dispensing technology is a complete process
Dispensing technology is used in countless industrial products and manufacturing processes, often without being visible. Adhesives must be applied precisely, components sealed, lubricants introduced in defined quantities and different media processed accurately. Even an incorrect amount of material or a poorly coordinated process can affect the quality of the final product. This is why we never consider a dispensing task in isolation, but as a complete process. From selecting and supplying the medium to dispensing, control technology, sensors and mechanics, all components must work together reliably. This is one of our key strengths: we develop solutions based on the actual process and coordinate each individual element accordingly.
Swiss Made – developed and manufactured in Matzingen
For us, “Swiss Made” is more than just an indication of origin. Development, engineering and a large part of our manufacturing take place directly at our site in Matzingen in the Canton of Thurgau. Our high level of in-house production allows us to closely combine hardware, software and services. At the same time, our own production facilities enable us to test new approaches under real conditions, continuously improve existing systems and respond quickly to specific customer requirements. The result is solutions that do not only work on paper, but also prove themselves in everyday industrial applications.
From the material to the complete dispensing process
For us, reliable dispensing does not begin at the dispensing head. What matters is considering the entire process.
This may include:
- selecting and sourcing suitable media
- transferring and conditioning materials into automation-compatible containers
- designing the dispensing process
- selecting control technology, sensors and mechanical components
- process trials and validation
- integration into existing production systems
- service, maintenance and optimisation
This holistic approach makes it possible to identify potential weaknesses at an early stage and design processes specifically for stability and repeatability.
Contract manufacturing as a flexible extension of production
Not every process justifies investing in a dedicated system. Especially for small production runs, new products or specialised applications, contract manufacturing can provide an economical and flexible alternative. Depending on the task, our in-house production can include sourcing and preparing media, transferring materials and precisely portioning or dispensing them directly onto customer components. Our infrastructure enables us to reproduce relevant process parameters in a controlled and repeatable manner and verify the results. The practical experience gained in this way flows directly back into the development of our own products and solutions.
Products developed from real application experience
Products such as our C100-4.0® process controller and EDG50® dispensing unit were developed in response to specific requirements from industrial practice. Before solutions are implemented at our customers’ facilities, we work intensively with the relevant processes ourselves. As a result, we understand not only the technical specifications of a product, but also how it performs in real-world applications. This direct connection between development, in-house production, process testing and customer projects is an essential part of reliable dispensing technology for us.
Discretion builds trust
When developing customer-specific production processes, we are often given insight into sensitive applications, new products or technologies that have not yet been made public. Absolute discretion is therefore a fundamental part of our cooperation. Customer-specific systems, products and processes are never used or published as references without the appropriate approval. This protects our customers’ know-how, production processes and competitive advantages.
